Giovanni Modica

Senior Scientific Advisor

Prof. Dr. Ing. Modica has worked as head of Research and Development at various  Italian companies and held teaching roles as an adjunct-professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering of the Polytechnic of Milan. He was a visiting Scientist of the Commission of European Communities and is currently active in various advisory roles and in applied research.

Mr. Modica has been co-rapporteur in 44 theses at the Polytechnic of Milan, Italy, and is (co-)inventor of 35 international patents and was recently awarded a patent on lead extraction (2022), jointly with Arturo Sommariva. He has published 31 articles in international scientific journals and has presented 67 papers at international conferences.  He is an Italian national and holds an Industry Chemistry PhD degree (1972) from the University of Catania, Italy.
